Summary:PURPOSE: A master carrier for magnetic transfer is provided to improve the quality of a transfer signal by reducing recording loss and durability by preventing a pattern of the master carrier from being damaged. CONSTITUTION: A master carrier for magnetic transfer is equipped with a substrate of an uneven pattern. The uneven pattern is formed from a magnetic material corresponding to information transferred to a plate board. A concave pattern(32a) in the uneven pattern has four round corners of which radius(R) ranges from 1% to 47% of the width(W) of a data track on the disk. 마스터담체와 슬레이브매체를 밀착시키고 전사용 자계를 인가하여 자기전사를 행할 때의, 기록손실의 저감에 의한 전사신호품위의 향상, 마스터담체의 패턴의 파손방지에 의한 내구성의 향상 및 전사불량을 억제한다. 마스터담체(3)는 기판(31) 상에 전사하는 정보에 대응한 자성체(32)에 의한 요철패턴을 보유하고, 이 요철패턴의 대략 직사각형상의 오목패턴(32a)에 있어서의 꼭대기면 코너부의 평면형상의 라운드의 반경(R)을, 트랙폭(W)에 대해서 1% ~ 47%로 하고, 코너부의 파손방지와 기록손실의 저감을 도모한다.
