PURPOSE: A backlight driving device for a liquid crystal display device is provided to simplify the construction for supplying the power from an external power supply part to both main power part and a backlight power part via a power conversion part which converts the capacity of the power according to the respective standards thereof. CONSTITUTION: A backlight driving device for a liquid crystal display device includes a power supply part(10) for converting AC power supplied from the outside to power according to the standard of the liquid crystal display device, a main power part(40) for supplying the power supplied via the power supply part to a control part which controls the liquid crystal display device, a backlight power part(30) for supplying the power supplied from the power supply part to a backlight of the liquid crystal display device, and a conversion part(20) for converting the capacity of the power supplied from the power supply part to the main power part and the backlight power part.
