PURPOSE: An electronic door switch having a releasing function of a locking state in emergency and a method for releasing a locking state of the same are provided to open a door according to user information such as a secret number, a fingerprint, and an iris by using a portable locking state releasing device. CONSTITUTION: A locking state releasing system(1b) and a main driving control system(1a) are installed in a main body of an electronic door switch(1). The main driving control system(1a) operates a switch(203) and releases a locking state according to a result of an authentication process when the locking state releasing system(1b) is in a normal state. The locking state releasing system(1b) operates the switch(203) and releases the locking state according to the result of the authentication process when an error is generated from the main driving control system(1a). An emergency battery(202) supplies selectively emergency power to the main driving control system(1a) and the locking state releasing system(1b). A portable locking state releasing device(5) is activated by receiving emergency power of the emergency battery(202). The portable locking state releasing device(5) transmits the emergency power and user information to the locking state releasing system(1b).
