Summary:PURPOSE: A method and a device for mechanical correction of a precision machine are provided to conveniently install a three-point-supported structure, to simply measure, and to reduce the time for work. CONSTITUTION: A device for mechanical correction of a precision machine comprises a three-point-supported structure(20) connected to the tip end portion of a lower link(16) and a surface plate(24) contacting the support points of the support structure. The three-point-supported structure comprises a measuring plate, a connecting part connected to the tip end portion of a robot, and three supporting protrusions supported on the surface plate. Herein, the connecting part comprises a hinge part formed around the measuring plate. To enhance the degree of precision, the supporting protrusions are formed in the semispherical form.
