Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a color cathode-ray tube panel which has a property that its sealing end surface has less tendency to be smudged, smudge cleaning of the sealing end surface is easy when it is smudged, and the sealing end surface has less tendency to cause a through flaw therein and provides a desired strength of frit glass sealing therein, wherein the panel can be manufactured with high productivity without lowering the production yield. CONSTITUTION: The color cathode-ray tube panel has an opening which is provided with the sealing end surface to be sealed with a funnel via frit glass. The sealing end surface of the opening shows rough surface which has a large number of stripes consisting of valleys 15 and ridges 14 which consists of connected minute irregularities 13 along the peripheral direction of the sealing end surface. 프릿유리를 통해 퍼넬이 밀봉부착되는 밀봉부착끝면을 구비한 개구부를 갖는 컬러음극선관용 패널에 있어서, 개구부의 밀봉부착끝면의 표면은 밀봉부착끝면의 둘레방향을 따라 미세한 요철(13)이 이어진 다수의 줄기상의 능선부(14) 및 골짜기부(15)가 형성된 조면이다.
