Summary:PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing a pressure vessel is provided to cool the inside of an article and maintain the life span and conditions of an expandable core, by pressurizing the inside of the article and simultaneously supplying a cooling device to the inside of a hollow reinforced plastic mixed article during heating. CONSTITUTION: A method of molding a hollow, reinforced molded plastic article comprises the steps of providing a preform(10), comprising randomly commingled, short lengths of thermoplastic and reinforcing fibers loosely bonded together and having an inside surface and an outside surface; providing a core(14) having an inside surface and an outside surface; positioning the core within the preform so that the outside surface of the core contacts the inside surface of the preform; positioning the preform within a closed mold so that the outside surface of the preform contacts an inside surface of the mold; circulating a pressurized liquid coolant within the core while heating the mold to a temperature sufficient to fuse the thermoplastic fibers into a coherent matrix substantially free of voids with the reinforcing fibers randomly oriented and distributed therein; cooling the mold to a temperature sufficient to solidify the matrix; and removing the plastic article from the mold. 본 발명은 중공, 보강 몰딩된 플라스틱 아티클(article)을 몰딩하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 프리포옴(preform)은 아티클의 형태로 몰딩되도록 제공된다. 프리포옴은 임의적으로 혼합된, 짧은 길이의 열가소성 및 보강 화이버들을 느슨하게 함께 결합된채로 이루어진다. 코어는 프리포옴내에 제공되며 차후 제거되는 가요성 팽창성 코어 또는 열가소성 라이너(liner)이다. 프리포옴은 몰드에 위치되고 열가소성 물질을 융합시키도록 가열되며 가압 액체 냉각제는 코어내에서 순환된다.
