PURPOSE: A multiplex ringing tone transmitting apparatus and method for a PSTN subscriber in a full electronic telephone exchange are provided to provide multi-bell service subscribers with a plurality of telephone numbers including the existing telephone number and corresponding multiplex ringing tones without additionally installing a telephone line and a hardware by making interrupt periods of ringing tones to be differently formed according to a plurality of logical telephone numbers and transmitting the generated particular ringing tones to a destination subscriber. CONSTITUTION: When a call is requested by an arbitrary originating subscriber terminal to an originating full electronic telephone exchange, a destination full electronic telephone exchange interworks in order to occupy a corresponding destination call(S20). The destination full electronic telephone exchange receives the requested destination call and performs a destination call translation by interworking an inserted INP(Interface Network Processor)(S30). It is checked whether the received telephone number of the destination subscriber terminal is a logical telephone number(S40). If the telephone number is a logical telephone number, a corresponding logical telephone number and a ringing tone type mapped for the corresponding telephone number are searched by using a multi-bell DB and extracted(S60). The ringing tone extracted from the multi-bell DB is transmitted to an SSP(Service Switching Point)(S70), and interrupt ratio information of the ringing tone type determined through an occupancy procedure is transmitted to the corresponding destination subscriber terminal, thereby outputting the corresponding ringing tone to the occupied destination subscriber terminal(S80). 본 발명은 전전자교환기에서의 공중전화망가입자에 대한 다중호출음 전송장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 외부로부터 수신된 전화의 호출음에 따라 수신자가 착신된 호를 구분 할 수 있도록 하는 멀티벨서비스를 전전자교환기에 수용된 음성가입자에게 제공하기 위해, 해당 전전자교환기내의 멀티벨DB에 저장된 착신가입자데이터를 이용하여 착신가입자에게 부여되는 다수개의 논리적 전화번호에 따라 호출음의 단속주기를 상이하게 형성하여 생성한 특정호출음을 착신가입자에게 전송함으로써, 전전자교환기의 멀티벨서비스 가입자를 대상으로 별도의 전화회선 및 하드웨어의 추가설치없이 기존 전화번호를 포함하는 다수개의 전화번호와 그에 따른 다중호출음을 제공 할 수 있는 잇점과, 단일의 가입자전화회선에 대해 다수개의 전화번호를 부여하고 착신가입자에게 임의의 호에 따른 각각의 호출음을 제공함으로써 논리전화번호별로 응용할 수 있는 서비스적용범위를 확대할 수 있는 잇점이 있다.
