Summary:PURPOSE: An idler pulley device warning damage of a belt is provided to indicate whether a belt is damaged or not to a driver and to prevent accident by damage of the belt previously. CONSTITUTION: An idler pulley device warning damage of a belt consists of an idler pulley(100) comprised of a basic pulley(110) and a detecting pulley(120); a connecting device connected to a sensor of rotation velocity(122); an electric control unit exchanging a signal inputted from the connecting device for a signal to indicate to a driver; a display device indicating a signal inputted from the electric control unit to a driver. When one in an operating belt of the idler pulley is damaged or cut, the relative velocity between the basic pulley and the detecting pulley is changed. The value of the detected signal is compared in the electric control unit according to pulse cycle of a gear groove(112) sensed in the sensor of rotation velocity. If the detected value is over the standard value, the value is transferred in the display device by a signal like warning sound. The driver knows whether the belt is worn away or is damaged or not.
