PURPOSE: A liquid crystal media and an electro-optical liquid crystal display using the liquid crystal media are provided, which liquid crystal media has a low critical voltage, a high clearing point, a low viscosity and a large slope of the electro-optical characteristic line. CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystal media comprises at least one compound represented by the formula 1; and at least one compound represented by the formula 2, wherein R1 is an alkyl or alkoxy group of C1-C6 or an alkoxyalkyl, alkenyl or alkenyloxy group of C2-C7; Y1 is H or F; R2 is an alkenyl or alkenyloxy group of C2-C7; and Y21 and Y22 are independent each other and are H or F.
