Summary:PURPOSE: An ink transfer device for a liquid writing instrument is provided to allow a user to smoothly use the liquid writing instrument even in a posture that the user lies facing upward. CONSTITUTION: An ink transfer member(12) is inserted in an ink reservoir(11) containing an ink(4). The ink transfer member comprises plural balls(13) arranged in line in the interior space thereof, and also an ink transfer roller(14) is installed between two balls disposed at the utmost end among the plural balls. These balls are supported by a ball support member(15) installed at the bottom end portion of the ink transfer member, and an elastic member(16) for elastically supporting the ball support member is inserted in the ink transfer member. Finally, the ink transfer member is sealed by an elastic stand(17) at the lower end.
