Summary:PURPOSE: A method for offering data using a distributed server system is provided to offer data from an optimal server corresponding to the loads of plural servers. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises plural clients(10) and a broadcasting station(20) for offering multimedia contents data to the plural clients through the Internet. The broadcasting station includes a master server(30) to which clients are directly connected via the Internet and at least one of slave servers(40-1,40-2,40-3) connected to the master server via a communication network. The master server processes an instruction inputted from the client, decides a slave server optimal to offer multimedia information, and connects the optimal slave server to the client. The master server requests respective slave servers for state information and collects state information from respective slave servers. The state information includes the operation of respective slave servers and the load of a central processing unit. The optimal slave server offers multimedia contents data to the client.
