Summary:PURPOSE: A portal service method using a character is provided to offer a total service such as a mail, a community, a chatting, a mobile character, a game, and a shopping mall for raising an image of a user. CONSTITUTION: If a personal character generation condition is satisfied in case that the generation of a personal character is requested, the personal character is generated and the generated personal character is stored in a database(S6). The personal character is provided(S7). In case that the generation of the personal character is not requested, a temporal character is provided(S8). It is discriminated whether the change of the personal character is requested(S9). If a personal character change condition is satisfied in case that the change of the personal character is requested, the personal character is generated and the generated personal character is stored in the database(S10). The changed new character is provided(S11). If the change of the personal character is not requested, the previously possessed personal character is provided(S12). An internet service is provided using the provided temporal and personal characters(S13).
