PURPOSE: To provide a contact-type charging device, capable of preventing surface fogging with simple constitution and an electrohotographic printing using the same. CONSTITUTION: In this contact type charging device having a charging roller 21 coming into contact with a photoreceptor 20 and a power source circuit 23 for applying DC constant voltage to the roller 21, a power source circuit 23 is equipped with a resistor 24 and applies voltage to the roller 21 via the resistor 24. Then, the circuit 23 is equipped with a rectifying circuit 25, and the resistor 24 is arranged nearer to the roller 21 side than the circuit 25. Thus, a current flowing into the roller 21 is changed according to impedance between the photoreceptor 20 and the roller 21 and an outputted voltage value is changed, so that the surface fogging caused by the change of electrification potential due to environmental change and the film thickness of the photoreceptor is prevented. 감광체에 접촉하는 대전롤러, 및 이 대전롤러에 직류 정전압을 인가하는 전원 회로를 포함하는 접촉식 대전장치(charger)에 있어서, 상기 전원 회로는 저항기를 구비하고, 이 저항기를 통하여 상기 대전롤러에 전압을 인가한다. 또, 상기 전원 회로는 정류 회로를 구비하고, 상기 저항기는 상기 정류 회로보다 상기 대전롤러측에 더 가깝게 배치되어 있다. 이러한 구성에 의해, 감광체와 대전롤러 사이의 임피던스에 반응하여 상기 대전롤러로 흘러들어가는 전류가 변화하고, 출력 전압치가 변화하므로 환경 변화나 감광체의 막두께 변화로부터 유도되는 대전 전위의 변화에 의해 발생하는 배경 상의 연무가 방지될 수 있다.
