PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and reproducing a multimedia of a mobile PC is provided to rapidly perform a communication by easily transmitting and reproducing a multimedia using a virtual space interface or an instant messenger program. CONSTITUTION: Each client connecting to a message server through a communication line performs a log-in to a server and is authorized by the message server(50). After that, an initial menu screen composed of menu items for transmitting or reproducing a multimedia is displayed. In case that the client selects an arbitrary item from the initial menu screen, a sub routine for the item selected is performed. The multimedia is transmitted or reproduced. Each client performs a communication with an arbitrary client or a plurality of client connecting to the server on the menu screen displayed. A file is transmitted to an FTP server(54). It is confirmed whether a mail is received(56). An avatar conversation is performed(58). A person-to-person talk is performed(60). The transmission of a mail is performed(62). In case that the client directly transmits a mail to another client, the client selects a file to be transmitted and clicks the person's avatar. After that, the client directly transmits the mail(64). A multi-peer talk is performed in a chatting room(66). It is sensed whether a specific user is connected(68). 본 발명은 가상 공간(Virtual World) 인터페이스와 인스턴트 메신저 프로그램을 구비하며 유무선 통신망을 통해 서버와 접속되는 휴대형 정보기기의 다중 매체 전송 및 재생 방법에 관한 것으로, 상기 서버에 로그-인하는 제1과정과, 로그-인 완료후 다중 매체의 전송 혹은 재생을 위한 메뉴 항목들로 구성되는 초기 메뉴 화면을 표시하여 주는 제2과정과, 상기 초기 메뉴 화면에서 임의의 메뉴 항목 선택시 선택 항목의 서브 루틴을 수행하여 다중 매체의 전송 혹은 재생을 수행하는 제3과정으로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하여, 사용 장소에 구애됨이 없이 신속/정확하게 정보를 교환할 수 있으며, 상이한 매체의 전송 및(혹은) 재생을 위하여 다수의 개별적인 프로그램을 수행하지 않고서도 스타일러스 펜 (stylus pen)의 클릭 또는 드래그 앤 드롭(Drag & Drop)만으로도 소망하는 매체를 전송하거나 재생할 수 있는 편리함이 있다.
