Summary:PURPOSE: An electronic locking apparatus and method using a mobile terminal are provided to accomplish a user's convenience so that a user does not need to carry unlock key fitting types of doors by selectively unlocking various types of doors by using a DTMF signal of a mobile terminal and maximize prevention of loss by not allowing a key duplication even with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A key pad unit(52) inputs various key data such as a lock mode setting of a door by manipulation of a user, a password, a call mode, registration of the password, correction of the registered password. The first memory unit(53) stores the plurality of door passwords inputted form the key pad unit(52) as abbreviated form. The first CPU(51) reads and outputs a corresponding password among passwords stored in the first memory(53) according to a lock mode, a registration mode, a correction mode and a hot key data, and controls an overall operation of a mobile terminal(50) according to a program performing of the first program ROM(59). A transmitting and receiving unit(60) demodulates an RF signal received from an antenna(ANT) to its original signal to output it and modulates a voice signal inputted through a microphone(61) to a radio frequency and transmits it through the antenna(ANT) under the control of the first CPU(51). A DTMF generator(55) generates a DTMF signal corresponding to the password, the registration key data or the correction data inputted from the first CPU(51). A switching unit(56) selects and outputs a voice signal demodulated in the transmitting and receiving unit(60) in case of a call mode and selects and outputs a DTMF signal generated from the DTMF generator(55) in case of a lock mode according to a control signal outputted form the first CPU(51).
