Summary: | PURPOSE: A wheel encoder device of a wheel mouse is provided to be capable of accurately recognizing the operation of a wheel by distributing the wheel encoder to be deflected and distributing lengthwise an array of sensors, and of reducing manufacturing costs by excluding a photo transistor for the wheel. CONSTITUTION: A sensor consists of a light emission device and a light receiving device. A wheel encoder consists of a cylindrical main body, and a plurality of slit protrusions extended integrally from a circumference of the main body. In this structure, the sensor is lengthwise installed. Further, the slit protrusions consist of step parts and protrusion parts along the rotation direction of the protrusions so that one of two beams from the sensor can be alternatively shielded. The wheel encoder is rotated at the same direction as that of the wheel. |
