PURPOSE: To provide a system and a method for utilizing a secondary battery for storing power which are effective for spreading and extending use of the secondary battery for storing power and can achieve the effect of leveling the loads. CONSTITUTION: The inventive system comprises an instrument 14 for measuring the charging power of a secondary battery 10 for storing power being fed from a power generating facility 17 through AD converters 11, 12 and the discharging power being fed from the secondary battery for storing power to a load through the AD converters, and a processor 21 for determining the differential power cost based on a charging power value and a discharging power value measured by the power metering instrument 14 and the unit prices thereof and then calculating the use price of the secondary battery for storing power based on the power cost. The processor 21 may be installed on any side of manufacturer/ lender or power consumer. 전력저장용 2차 전지의 보급확대에 유효하며 효과적인 부하평준화를 달성할 수 있는 전력저장용 2차 전지의 이용시스템을 제공한다. 본 발명은, 발전설비(17)로부터 교류/직류 변환장치(11, 12)를 거쳐 전력저장용 2차 전지(10)에 충전되는 충전전력을 계측하고, 또한 전력저장용 2차 전지로부터 교류/직류 변환장치를 거쳐 부하에 공급되는 방전전력을 계측하는 전력량계(14) 및, 상기 전력량계(14)에 의해 계측된 충전전력량 및 방전전력과 각각에 대한 전력단가로부터 차액의 전력요금을 구하고, 상기 전력요금에 의거하여 전력저장용 2차 전지의 사용가격을 산출하는 연산처리장치(21)를 구비한다. 상기 연산처리장치(21)는 제조자/대여자측 또는 전력 소비자측 중 어느 쪽에 설치되어도 좋다.
