Summary:PURPOSE: A display device substrate is provided to increase the beam transmission rate of display electrodes by forming a thick transparent conductive layer, and to shorten the time required to form a transparent conductive layer by forming a thin transparent conductive layer used for display electrodes and wirings. CONSTITUTION: A panel substrate(30) includes a substrate(31), a plurality of display electrodes(32) running in parallel on the substrate, and a plurality of wirings(34) respectively continuous from the display electrodes formed on the substrate. The display electrodes and the wirings respectively have bilayer structure of a transparent conductive layer(70) and a metal layer(72). The metal layer of the display electrode is substantially narrower in width than the width of the transparent conductive layer.
