Summary:PURPOSE: A method and device for manufacturing elongated slender bodies that have optimum length of service time is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing of a tool for chip removing machining comprising a relatively tough core connected to a relatively wear resistant periphery includes the steps of: (i) feeding a warm first plastic compound (55) having a relatively high content of metallic binder to a die for extrusion; (ii) simultaneously feeding a warm second plastic compound (56) having a relatively low content of metallic binder to a die for extrusion around the first plastic compound (55) whereby the second plastic compound (56) will abut against the first plastic compound (55) during the extrusion, thereby forming a substantially cylindrical rod (65); (iii) heating the connected compounds (55,56) as a unit to drive off a polymer contained by the compounds and to sinter the remainder to a hard blank whereafter; and (iv) possible finish machining such as grinding is made. 본 발명은 공구 제조방법, 공구 제조장치, 및 공구 자체에 관한 것이다. 상기 방법 및 장치를 통하여, 비교적 내마모성인 경질 재료의 원주변(13)에 연결된 비교적 터프한 경질 재료의 중심부(12)를 갖는 드릴(10)을 제조할 수 있다. 공구(10)의 칩 플루트(18)는 전부 비교적 내마모성인 경질 재료로 구성된다.
