A 3D geographic object authoring tool(130) creates, edits and stores a 3D geographic object adapted to the DTD for VGFF file(120). A VGFF file(140) is created, edited and stored by the 3D geographic object authoring tool(130). A 3D geographic object browser(150) visualizes the three dimension geographic object by reading the DTD for VGFF file(120) and the VGFF file(140).
