Summary:PURPOSE: An advanced Internet unified messaging system is provided to separate a telephony access server into an Internet telephony gateway and a gateway access server and to manage a web access server, a gateway access server and a resource access server as an independent functional unit. CONSTITUTION: A resource access server(304) performs storing, retrieval and deleting of messages owned by a user. A web access server(301) is linked with the resource access server(304) to provide transceiving of unified messages, viewing, listening, replying, and initial user registration and update through a web. A gateway access server(303) receives an access call generated from a telephone, a facsimile and an Internet phone terminal by an Internet phone protocol to provide message list listening, message listening, reply writing and sending. A text-to-speech unit(302) converts text into speech and provides the same to a user connected by the gateway access server(303).
