Summary:PURPOSE: A device of gated transmission on a CDMA system is provided to minimize the interference by transmission of downward PILOT/PCB channel transmission and downward power control bit of upward link. CONSTITUTION: In the method of gated transmission on a CDMA system, in step 601, if a need for cutting off sending data arises, the MAC hierarchy sends an RC-Unlock. Request signal to the Resource Controller(RC) for transition from the data transition mode into a control maintenance mode. Here, the RC determines whether a gated transmission is possible of upward PILOT/PCB channel and decides on a gated rate. In step 602, SIG receives a SIG-Release.Request signal for gated transmission. In step 701, CE receives a Gating.Request primitive for controlling a physical channel of a base station and conducts a gated transmission from ACITION_TIME of Extended Release Message. In step 603, SIG sends an Extended Release Message to a terminal. In step 604, the SIG of the terminal sends a SIG-Release.Indication to the RC. In step 702, RC interprets the parameters related gated transmission and sends the result to CE. In step 605, RC directs MAC to stop transmitting data by giving RC-Resource Released.Indication to MAC. In step 606, RC sends the SIG-Release Response to SIG. In step 607, SIG transmits MS Ack Order to the terminal. In step 608, the SIG of the base station sends the SIG-Release.Confirm to RC and ends the whole operation.
