Summary: | PURPOSE: To increase the number of individual tape carrier type semiconductor devices per lot to lower the manufacturing cost, using a tape carrier material of a prescribed length for the tape carrier type semiconductor device, without impairing the advantages that its shape can be arbitrarily designed. CONSTITUTION: In a COF 1, having semiconductor elements 2 bonded to and mounted on a wiring pattern a long tape carrier, the wiring pattern is disposed in a layout so as to increase the utilization area of the tape carrier (i.e., to lessen unwanted regions 3) and so as to have a plurality of directions in the tape carrying direction of the tape carrier.
