Summary:PURPOSE: A bathing agent comprising powdery dried leaves of Artemisia capillaris thunb which sufficiently elutes an effective component of Artemisia capillaris thunb into bath water and does not come out of a pack during bathing is provided, which can impart excellent touches when and after bathing and has excellent moisturizing and skin activating effect. CONSTITUTION: The bathing agent is prepared by a process consisting of: steaming dried leaves of Artemisia capillaris thunb at 80 to 120deg.C for 5 to 60 min; drying at 80 to 120deg.C for 10 to 100 min with hot blast under vacuum; spraying 1 to 10% by weight of Artemisia capillaris thunb extracts and drying at 60 to 120deg.C for 5 to 60 min; and inserting 1 to 19% by weight of granulated Artemisia capillaris thunb, 10 to 40% by weight of carbonate, 15 to 40% by weight of organic acid and 0.01 to 1% by weight of perfume based on the raw material into a bathing agent pack.
