Summary:PURPOSE: A cathode ray tube and method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the quality of the cathode ray tube by reducing the burrs of a punched plate grid electrode constituting an electron gun, and to reduce the time for manufacturing the cathode ray. CONSTITUTION: In the first punching process, an outline of a plate grid electrode(31) is formed, and in the next punching process, a cut-off line of the plate grid electrode(31) is formed. The angle of a crossing between the outline and the cut-off line is within 70-110 degrees.
