Summary: | PURPOSE: Provided are polymer compounds for storing information, a thin film coated with the polymer compound, a reversible and optical digital information recording and reading apparatus and method. CONSTITUTION: The polymer compound represented by the formula 1, 2, 3, 4 has two disperse red1 per a polymer repeating unit, wherein m is 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10, n is an integer, X is 3-97mol%, and Y is 97-3mol%, and a weight average molecular weight of the polymer compound is 2000-15000. The method for storing the information includes the steps of: coating the thin film with the polymer compound; heating the coated thin film at a melting temperature of the polymer or higher to arrange in an isotropic state; quenching at a glass transition temperature or lower to form a recording thin film; recording the digital information in the recording thin film by using polarized light irradiated from an argon laser light source via a first polarizing plate, a light attenuator, and a wave plate; passing polarized light irradiated from IR laser light source on the digital information recorded thin plate via an optical lens and a second polarizing plate and then passing the polarized light on a third polarizing plate having a polarizing shaft which is at a right angle to the polarizing shaft of the second polarizing plate; inputting to an output device. |
