Summary:PURPOSE: An organic electro-luminescent device is provided to increase the efficiency of the electron injection property of an organic EL device. CONSTITUTION: The organic electro-luminescent device has a layered structure including an anode(12), an organic hole transporting layer(14a) coming into contact with the anode, an organic luminescent layer(14b) making contact with the hole transporting layer(14a) on one side, an organic electron transporting layer(14c) coming into contact with the second face of the luminescent layer(14b), an electron injecting layer(16) coming into contact with the electron transporting layer(14c), and a cathode(18) coming into contact with the electron injecting layer(16). The electron injecting layer(16) contains aluminum and at least one kind of alkaline metal halide or at least one kind of alkaline earth metal halide. 애노드와, 애노드와 접촉하는 유기 정공 이송층과, 한 면이 정공 이송층과 접촉하는 유기 방출층과, 방출층의 다른 면과 접촉하는 유기 전자 이송층과, 전자 이송층과 접촉하는 전자 주입층과, 그리고 전자 주입층과 접촉하는 캐소드를 포함하는 층상 구조물을 갖는 유기 전계발광(electroluminescent) 디바이스에 관한 것으로서, 전자 주입층이 알루미늄과, 적어도 한 가지의 알칼리 할로겐 화합물(alkali halide) 또는 적어도 한 가지의 알칼리성 토류(alkaline earth) 할로겐 화합물을 포함하고 있다.
