PURPOSE: Provided is a method for extracting fragrant essential oil, of which applicability and functional property are recently increased, from herbs. And an extracting device therefor is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of: (i) heating a mixture solution of distilled water and organic solvent to evaporate; (ii) after extracting fragrant oil ingredient by using the flown-in vapor generated from the step (i), secondarily evaporating the extracted fragrant oil ingredient; (iii) after secondarily extracting the secondarily evaporated fragrant oil extracted vapor by mixing it with saturated water vapor, collecting a part thereof in a collecting container through a separating part and thirdly extracting another part thereof. The device comprises: (i) heaters(1a, 1b); (ii) a first container(2); (iii) a second container(3); (iv) a mixing part(4); (v) a counterflow preventing part(4a); (vi) a saturated water vapor pipe(4b); (vii) a separating pipe(4c); (viii) a recirculating pipe(4d); (ix) a cock(4e); (x) a refrigerator(5); and (xi) a collecting container(6).
