Summary:PURPOSE: A method for transmitting real time periodic and non-periodic data in a control communication network of a distributed control system is provided to secure transmissions of the real time non-periodic data and transmissions of hard real time periodic data, by using one communication network, and to secure transmissions of soft real time periodic data. CONSTITUTION: A control communication network of a distributed control system sets up a THT(Token Hold Time) and a TTRT(Target Token Rotation Time), and assigns transmission priorities. The control communication network decides whether data transmissions are secured, and implements a communication network for transmitting real time non-periodic data and real time periodic data. If a TTRT1 is smaller than a deadline(d11) of the real time non-periodic data and is smaller than a minimum period(d12) among hard real time periodic data, the calculated TTRT1 is used. If the TTRT1 is bigger than the 'd11' of the real time non-periodic data or bigger than a minimum period(d12), the control communication network sets up a value calculated by subtracting a communication band relating to non-periodic non-real time data from the TTRT1, as a TTRT2.
