Summary:PURPOSE: Provided is an improved flying shear which can certainly operate at all rolling mill discharging speed. CONSTITUTION: A shear(10) has a preceding edge(28) and a following edge(24) which rotate in mutually opposite directions along an upper and a lower shaft(14,16) located above and below a horizontal plane. The radius of gyration of the preceding edge(28) is longer than that of the following edge(24). Those edges are composed and arranged so that they may cooperate in a radially overlapped positional relation within cutting areas Z1, Z2 provided at intervals in a perpendicular direction from the horizontal plane. A switch(30) conducts a longitudinally moving product such as a bar, a rod and a similar one so as to cross the cutting area from the horizontal plane. The product is therefore divided into a front and a rear segment by rotary edges (the preceding edge)(28) and the following edge(24). 본 발명에 따른 플라잉 시어는 수평면의 위 및 아래에 위치된 수평축을 중심으로 반대로 회전되는 구동 및 종동 블레이드를 갖는다. 구동 블레이드의 회전 반경은 종동 블레이드의 회전 반경보다 크다. 구동 및 종동 블레이드는 수평면으로부터 수직으로 이격된 절단 구역에서 반경방향으로 중첩되는 관계로 상호 작용하도록 구성 및 배열된다. 스위치는 바아, 로드 등의 종방향으로 이동하는 제품을 수평면으로부터 회전 블레이드에 의해 선행 및 후행 세그먼트로 분리되는 절단 구역을 횡단시키도록 안내한다.
