PURPOSE: To obtain a display unit in which a sign having a surrounded nontranslucent division can be made of an arbitrary, especially nontranslucent material without using a web by improving a display unit of a type mentioned at the beginning and to obtain a method which is used to manufacture the display unit. CONSTITUTION: A nearly transparent division (11) is formed of a hole part (13) in a display front (2). A nearly nontranslucent division (12) is arranged at a transparent support (15).
