Summary:PURPOSE: A high speed drying bed of sludge is provided, which can dry sludge of high moisture disposed from livestock farms rapidly in a drying bed filled with layers of gravel, sand and rice husk by injecting air through an air pipe(25) and by using the fermentation heat of sludge, so that the disposing problem of sludge from the livestock farmers is resolved and the dried sludge can be used as fertilizer. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the followings: (i) a drying bed(20) of concrete structure that has an excess sludge inlet(10) at the top and a discharge line at the bottom, in which a gravel layer(22), a sand layer(23) and a rice husk layer(24) are set from bottom, the rice husk layer(24) having a settled sludge layer above it; (ii) an air pipe(25) installed between the sand layer(23) and rice husks layer(24) for feeding air to the bed(20); (iii) a supernatant discharge pipe(27) set at the level of the supernatant.
