Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which the opening rate can be increased without decreasing the crosstalk quality. CONSTITUTION: A second insulating layer is present between source wirings 2 and transparent pixel electrodes 6, and the transparent pixel electrodes 6 are formed in such a manner that the pixel electrodes 6 adjacent to each other on the both sides of the source wirings 2 overlap the source wirings 2 with different overlapping width from each other and that an auxiliary capacitance is formed to eliminate the difference in the parasitic capacitance generated by the overlap of the transparent pixel electrode 6 and the source wiring 2. The auxiliary capacitance consists of the source wiring 2 as one electrode and an auxiliary electrode 7 as the other electrode formed under the source wiring 2 through a first insulating film.
