Summary:PURPOSE: A synthesis process for producing semicarbazide is disclosed to accomplish high yield and save the production cost. The semicarbazide is a compound generally known as a raw material of the azo dicarbon amide. CONSTITUTION: A synthesis process for producing semicarbazide comprises to prepare a desired amine halide generated by the reaction of metal hypohalogen compound and ammonia. The amine halide can be obtained by the reaction of a halogen element and 10-30% ammonia solution. Herein, the halide contains 1-200 mole of the ammonia to the halogen part. The obtained amine halide is reacted with urea in a molar ratio of 1:1-5, preferably, 1:1-3. The synthesis process of semicarbazide is performed at less than 30 deg.C and under a pressure of 5-10kgf/cm¬2. The halogen component contained in the semicarbazide is selected from chlorine, fluorine, bromine and iodine.
