PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a telephone number and information of a transmitter and a mobile phone terminal using the same are provided for designating a generally used incoming tone and a desired incoming tone into a plurality of previously telephone numbers, transmitting an incoming tone in accordance with a transmitter and recognizing a transmitter based on the incoming tone. CONSTITUTION: A mobile phone terminal includes a receiver for receiving a telephone umber and information of a transmitter from a mobile communication network or a common switch network, a memory for storing an incoming tone designated by a terminal manufacturer or a telephone number and a related information, a transmitter for transmitting an incoming tone based on the telephone number of the transmitter, and a display unit for displaying the received telephone number and information of the transmitter. Several of the telephone numbers selected among the telephone numbers inputted into the memory of the receiving terminal(21) or the incoming tones are set.
