Summary: | PURPOSE: A bio-decomposable uretero-Stent is provided which can be used in infantile hydronephrosis operation, spermaduct restoring operation, salpinx restoring operation, operation for hypospadias, and operation for stricture of the urethra. Thereby these operations do not need complex nephrostomy and Double-J-Stent, consequently, extra uretero-Stent removing step is not needed. CONSTITUTION: The bio-discomposable uretero-Stent is composed of bio-decomposable polymer and resin mixed with water-soluble materials. Then micropores of 0.2-0.7mm thereon are formed by extracting the water-soluble materials using distilled water in the presence of ultrasonic waves. A process for the preparation of bio-decomposable uretero-Stent comprises of: polymerizing 7ppm of Tin Octoate and 0.15wt.% of lauryl alcohol polymerize at 235°C to get polyglycolic acid (viscosity is 7,000poise); mixing 90wt.% of the polyglycolic acid and 10wt.% of salt(average particle diameter is 250micrometer) using a mixer, and injection molding the uretero-Stent; extracting the salts by treating the uretero-Stent with distilled water of 30°C for 10 hours; vacuum drying to 100ppm of moisture content. |
