PURPOSE: An optical disk player and an optical pick-up device for the optical disk player is provided to reduce the weight of the optical pick-up device, thereby reducing a current consumption and thus improving a reliability of a product. CONSTITUTION: The optical disk player comprises a main frame, a disk tray disposed in the main frame to be withdrawn to the outside and on which a disk(4) is mounted, a turn table disposed at a center portion of the disk tray to rotate the disk, an optical pick-up device slidably disposed at the disk tray to read/write an information from/to the disk on the turn table, and a transporting portion for transporting the optical pick-up device. An optical pick-up device for the optical disk player comprises a fixed optical system(40) and a movable optical system(50) for transmitting/receiving a beam to/from the fixed optical system. In the device the fixed optical system comprises a laser irradiating portion, a beam splitter(2) for splitting an incident light and a reflecting light, and a detecting portion for detecting a data based on a reflected beam. The movable optical system comprises an object lens(3) through which a beam irradiated from the beam splitter or reflected from a recording face is penetrated.
