Summary:PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling gain of voice amplifier are provided to automatically the gain of the voice amplifier such that output signals can be output with constant level though input signals have any level. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling gain of voice amplifier comprises steps of: deciding the reference output of output voice such that input voice can be amplified; storing the decided reference output level; comparing the strength of voice currently input with the stored reference output level; and controlling amplification gain in order to output the current input voice with the reference output level.
