Summary:PURPOSE: A power take off control system is provided to operate any additional mechanical devices as well as prevent erroneous operation of a power take off (PTO) during running of a vehicle by permitting a power take off control to be performed by means of an electronic engine control unit. CONSTITUTION: A power take off control system comprises a running information detecting device(20) for detecting various running information on operations of a brake pedal and a clutch pedal, an engine revolution frequency during running of a vehicle, a vehicle speed, and the like; a first PTO control switching device(10) mounted inside a cap of a special vehicle, which outputs signals for controlling operation of a PTO system and a revolution frequency of a PTO engine in response to a selection by a user; a second PTO control switching device(30) mounted outside the cap of a special vehicle, which outputs signals for controlling operation of a PTO system and a revolution frequency of a PTO engine in response to a selection by a user; an engine control device(40) for analyzing signals from the running information detecting device(20), the first PTO control switching device(10), and the second PTO control switching device(30) and then controlling outputs of a PTO system and an engine which supply a power for driving any additional mechanical apparatuses; a PTO magnetic valve(50) for drawing out a power of a transmission gear box in response to the signal from the engine control device and then supplying the power to the additional mechanical apparatuses; a fuel injection device(60) for regulating engine power in response to the signal from the engine control device; and engine revolution frequency display devices(71, 72) for perceivably displaying an engine revolution frequency, which is mounted inside and outside the cap of the special vehicle, respectively.
