Summary:PURPOSE: A method for adjusting a skew of an optical disk drive is provided to fit the perpendicularity between a disk surface and an optical axis of pickup and to prevent a mechanical vibration generated in moving the pickup by regulating the skew of a guiding shaft with only four screws. CONSTITUTION: A screw supporting plate(12) is fixed on a sled base(2). A screw for fixing is combined in the sled base(2) and a screw for regulating(16) is combined in the screw supporting plate(16). An inclination of a turntable(7) is seized by measuring a trigonal height on the turntable. An inclination error is seized by measuring a height of a guiding shaft(4). The incline error is compensated with a screw(16) combined to a sled base(2) through the pressing force of guide shaft. The position of guide shaft is fixed by locking a screw(14) coupled to a support plate(12). The method adjusts the skew of a guide shaft only with four screws to decrease components and to reduce costs.
