Summary: | PURPOSE: A coolant channel of a rotary compressor is provided to minimize noise and prevent the compressor from losing pressure by directly flowing high temperature and pressure coolant to an upper shell from a muffler. CONSTITUTION: A coolant from a cylinder(5) is inlet to a muffler(8) for reducing noise and outlet to the muffler in a low level sound pressure, shrinking and expanding. Then the muffler is in a funnel shape of which a small neck unit(8b) is placed in a boss(6a) of a main bearing(6) so that the space between the neck unit and the boss fills the role of a muffler port(8a). The vented coolant is guided to coolant channels(2a)(3a) formed on a crank shaft(3) or a rotor(2). The channel is in a spiral opposite to the rotor and the crank shaft. The centrifugal force by the rotation of the rotor and the crank shaft and rise force by the coolant, applies to the coolant as climbing power. Thereby the coolant is easy to rise to the upside of a shell(9). |
