PURPOSE: A controlling method of defrosting driving of an air conditioner is provided to prevent the ventilation of cool air indoor and to improve a heat exchanging efficiency of an indoor heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: A temperature sensor(10) of an outdoor heat exchanger detects the surface temperature of an outdoor heat exchanger and feeds to a control part(40). The control part controls the driving state of a four-way valve(20), a heater(30), an indoor fan(50), an outdoor fan(60) and a compressor, and performs cooling driving and heating driving. The compressor circulates coolant to an indoor heat exchanger and an outdoor heat exchanger and converts the circulating direction of the coolant according to the cooling or heating driving by the four-way valve. The heater heats the air vented to indoor by being turned on in defrosting driving and the indoor fan and the outdoor fans blows the air to the indoor and the outdoor heat exchangers. Thereby the heat exchanging efficiency is improved.
