Summary:PURPOSE: A non-aqueous electrolyte cell is to increase an operating voltage of a cell, to improve low-temperature discharging characteristic of the cell and its stability and to reduce a gas generation. CONSTITUTION: A non-aqueous electrolyte cell comprises a positive pole having positive active material containing mainly a cobalt acid lithium and a negative pole, an electrolyte containing a non aqueous solvent being charged in a cell case. The positive active material is constituted by Ti composite LiCoO2 made by attachment of titan particle and/or titan compound particle to a surface of cobalt acid lithium particle. A method for producing the non aqueous electrolyte cell comprises a step of mixing an oxidized titan particle and/or metal titan particle with a cobalt acid lithium particle and firing it to produce a Ti composite cobalt acid lithium.
