A second step is to selectively compose the statistical date collection by items or groups, or an initialization message and to transmit to the mobile station(1). 본 발명은 코드분할방식의 이동통신 시스템에서 이동국이 수집하고 있는 통계 데이터를 기지국에서 트래픽 채널의 메시지를 이용하여 항목별로 이동국 통계 데이터의 수집 또는 초기화하거나, 통계 데이터 항목에 대해 같은 속성을 가진 그룹으로 구분하고 그룹별로 이동국 통계 데이터의 수집 또는 초기화 할 수 있는 코드분할 다중접속 방식의 이동통신 시스템에서 이동국 통계 데이터 수집 및 초기화 제어방법에 관한 것이다. 이와 같은 본 발명에 따른 이동국 통계 데이터 수집 및 초기화 제어방법은 이동통신 시스템의 임의의 이동국에서 만든 통계 데이터 수집 또는 통계 데이터 초기화의 요구가 있으면, 항목별 또는 그룹별 통계 데이터 수집 또는 초기화 메시지의 구성을 항목별로 할것인지 그룹별로 할것인지를 판단하는 단계와, 상기 판단결과에 따라 항목별 또는 그룹별 통계 데이터 수집 또는 초기화메시지를 선택적으로 구성하여 이동국으로 전송하는 단계로 이루어진다.
