Summary:PURPOSE: The equipment and method is provided to be memorized to an another recording equipment independently of each video and sound signals. CONSTITUTION: An AV server comprises of; a processor section(30) for conducting various signal proceedings including the compression and expression; a video RAID section(21) for storing video signals; a audio RAID section(10) for storing sound signals. The processor section(30) has a plurality of I/O boards(32n) and manage channels as many as I/O boards. Signals(Avin) including the video and sound signals is input to each I/O boards and is output from each I/O boards. Individual I/O boards supply a sound signal and a video signal to the audio RAID section(10) and the video RAID section(21), respectively, have a audio RAID interface section(33) and a video RAID interface section(34) which receive individually a sound and video signal to the audio(10) and video RAID section(21). The video RAID section(21) reproduce the writing and reading of video sound signals in use of a hard disk, has the RAID-3 structure. The audio RAID section(10) reproduce the writing and reading of sound signals in correspondence with each of a plurality of sound signal channels independently of the video RAID section(21) in use of a hard disk memorizing sound signals. AV 서버는 입력된 영상 및 음성 신호에 대해, 압축-신장 등의 각종 신호 처리를 하는 프로세서부(30)와, 영상 신호를 축적하는 영상 RAID부(21)와, 음성 신호를 축적하는 음성 RAID부(10)를 구비하고 있다. 프로세스부(30)는, 채널마다 설치되어, 음성 RAID부(10)와, 영상 RAID부(21)에 각각 음성 신호와 영상 신호를 공급함과 함께, 음성 RAID부(10)와 영상 RAID부(21)에서 각각 음성 신호와 영상 신호를 수신하는 복수의 I/O 기판(32n)을 구비하고 있다. 영상 RAID부(21)는, RAID-3의 구성으로 되어있다. 음성 RAID부(10)는, 영상 RAID부(21)와 독립하여, 복수의 음성 신호 채널의 각각에 대응하여, 음성 신호의 기록, 판독을 한다.
