The present invention relates to an apparatus for a learning service of a foreign language and a driving method thereof, capable of improving efficiency of learning by motivation of learning. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for a learning service of a foreign language includes: a communication interface unit communicating with a learner terminal device of learners who want to learn a foreign language; and a control unit generating data, which is related to an interest subject of the learner, subject relation by a learner group, and a change in the interest subject, by using data collected when the learner uses a service of the learner terminal device, through machine learning analysis as map data of a neural network type. The control unit also provides personalized and subdivided learning content to the learner terminal device by applying the generated map data and curating the foreign language study of the learners. 본 발명은 외국어 학습서비스장치 및 그 장치의 구동방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 외국어 학습서비스장치는, 외국어를 학습하려는 학습자들의 학습자 단말장치와 통신하는 통신 인터페이스부, 및 학습자 단말장치의 서비스 이용시 수집되는 데이터를 이용하여 학습자의 관심 주제, 학습자 그룹을 통한 주제 연관도 및 관심 주제의 변화와 관련한 데이터를 머신러닝 분석을 통해 신경망 형태의 맵 데이터로 생성하고, 생성한 맵 데이터를 적용해 학습자들의 외국어 학습을 큐레이션하여 학습자 단말장치로 개인화 및 세분화된 학습 콘텐츠를 제공하는 제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
