Summary:Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a surface-modified composite adsorbent using a double-layer hydroxide, and a composite adsorbent manufactured therefrom with improved heavy metal removal efficiency. According to one aspect of the present invention, the method comprises the steps of: preparing an aqueous metal mixture solution; preparing an adsorbent in the form of a powder having a preset particle size range; mixing the adsorbent in the powder form and the aqueous metal mixture solution and adjusting the pH to a preset range by adding a basic substance; aging the pH-adjusted mixture to form a suspension; centrifuging the suspension to separate the composite adsorbent with co-precipitated double-layer hydroxide; and drying the separated adsorbent. 이중층수산화물을 이용하여 표면 개질된 복합 흡착제의 제조방법 및 그로부터 제조되어 중금속 제거 효율이 향상된 복합 흡착제를 개시한다. 본 발명의 일 측면에 의하면, 금속 혼합 수용액을 준비하는 단계와 기 설정된 입도 범위를 갖는 분말 형태의 흡착제를 준비하는 단계와 상기 분말 형태의 흡착제와 금속 혼합 수용액을 혼합 후, 염기성 물질을 첨가하여 pH를 기 설정된 범위까지 조절하는 단계와 상기 pH가 조절된 혼합물을 에이징(Aging)하여 현탁액으로 형성하는 단계와 상기 현탁액을 원심분리하여 이중층수산화물이 공침된 복합 흡착제를 분리하는 단계 및 상기 분리된 흡착제를 건조하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이중층수산화물이 결합된 복합 흡착제의 제조방법을 제공한다.
