The method for operating a fixing device of a transformer comprises: a step of preparing a fixing device of a transformer; and a step of installing a transformer on a utility pole through the fixing device of a transformer. The fixing device of a transformer comprises: an insulating oil discharge pipe (100) which discharges an insulating oil inside an insulating oil tank (16) mounted inside the housing (12) of a transformer to an insulating oil discharge hole (13) formed in the upper wall of the housing (12); an insulating oil receiving wall (200) extending upward from the outer surface of the upper wall of the housing (12) and surrounding the insulating oil discharge hole (13); and a cover (300) covering the area surrounded by the insulating oil receiving wall (200).
