A cutting insert according to an embodiment of the present invention is a double-sided cutting insert including an upper surface, a lower surface, a side surface, a cutting edge and a coupling hole penetrating the upper surface and the lower surface. The upper surface includes a single and flat upper surface boss part enveloping the coupling hole. The cutting edge includes: a main cutting edge; a corner cutting edge connected to the main cutting edge; a subsidiary cutting edge connected to the corner cutting edge; and a side part connected to the subsidiary cutting edge. A first main cutting-edge relief surface connected to the main cutting edge forms an acute angle with an extension line of the upper surface boss part. An angle formed by a subsidiary cutting edge chip breaker surface connected to the subsidiary cutting edge together with the extension line of the upper surface boss part becomes greater accordingly as the subsidiary cutting edge chip breaker surface becomes more distant from the corner cutting edge.
