The present invention relates to a shift lever assembly for a vehicle, which can reduce the number of parts for a shift lock release device and can reduce costs. To achieve the above purpose, a shift lever assembly for a vehicle is disclosed. The shift lever assembly for a vehicle comprises: a base bracket fixed and installed on a vehicle; an engaging lever rotatably coupled to the base bracket; a shift lever provided to rotate integrally with the engaging lever during a gear shifting operation; a solenoid actuator having an actuating rod for providing a shift lock by locking the engaging lever at the P-stage position of the shift lever by being advanced; and a shift lock release device provided to cancel the shift lock by moving the actuating rod of the solenoid actuator backward in an unlocking direction at the push of a lever rod, coupled to an inner side of an outer pipe, in the shift lever. 본 발명은 차량의 시프트 레버 어셈블리에 관한 것으로서, 시프트 록 해제 장치의 부품 수 축소가 가능하고 원가를 절감할 수 있는 시프트 레버 어셈블리를 제공하는데 주된 목적이 있는 것이다. 상기한 목적을 달성하기 위해, 차량에 고정 설치되는 베이스 브라켓; 베이스 브라켓에 회전 가능하도록 결합되는 인게이징 레버; 변속 조작시 인게이징 레버와 함께 일체로 회전하도록 구비된 시프트 레버; 전진 이동하여 인게이징 레버를 시프트 레버의 P단 위치에서 록(Lock) 시킴으로써 시프트 록을 구현하는 작동로드를 가지는 솔레노이드 액추에이터; 및 시프트 레버에서 아우터 파이프의 내측에 결합된 레버 로드의 누름 조작에 의해 솔레노이드 액추에이터의 작동로드를 록 해제 방향으로 후진 이동시켜 시프트 록을 해제하도록 구비된 시프트 록 해제 장치를 포함하는 차량의 시프트 레버 어셈블리 해제하도록 구비된 시프트 록 해제 장치를 포함하는 차량의 시프트 레버 어셈블리가 개시된다.
